Lee Hills Community Leadership

Lee is a long-time resident leader of Roswell who has  served as Roswell High School PTSA President and six years on the board of the Habersham Downs HOA. She has been active for over 35 years leading non-profit organizations, community outreach and fundraising for philanthropic causes… Lee gets things DONE!

PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODS

Violent Crime in Roswell continues to increase year-over-year (Aggravated Assault +19% and Robbery +8%, Roswell Police Dept. Annual Report 2020 ). I am 100% committed to fully funding Public Safety, while ensuring that they adhere to a strict code of ethics standard for the public they serve.

ELIMINATE PAY TO PLAY

I support eliminating Pay to Play - where an elected official accepts campaign money from a developer and then votes in the future on that developers request.

NO MORE FREE-STANDING APARTMENTS

My opponent supported 100% of the properties that requested more apartments and voted against UDC zoning codes to protect our neighborhoods. I will strengthen the UDC to encourage home ownership. Let’s create new family-friendly destinations that benefit Roswell residents instead of just developers.

CREATE MORE DESTINATIONS

Tired of seeing used car lots, declining shopping centers and closing  retail businesses? Let’s change that and create new family-friendly destinations and vibrant experiences that serve our community’s unique needs and strategic vision.

RESTORE TRUST & TRANSPARENCY

Far too often, Roswell infrastructure projects are over-budget, not on-time and involved in litigation - like Oxbo Road ($6M -> $15M+ and 2 Yrs behind schedule) . Why does this happen? I plan on implementing more public oversight measures that will bring back trust and transparency ensuring progress and fiscal responsibility for Roswell taxpayers.

RE-INVEST IN RECREATION & PARKS

Our parks won a National Gold Medal back in 2017, BEFORE my opponent was elected. Roswell’s 2017-2021 Parks Master Plan has not been acted upon since my opponent has been in office and he deeply cut the maintenance budget for our parks. I will prioritize investing in our Rec & Parks for our children and future generations to enjoy.

CONNECTING TRAILS & CREEKWAYS

An emphasis on connecting our neighborhoods and parks, as well as the river, schools and more will ensure a more family and environmentally friendly city. Filling gaps in our network of sidewalks where there is a community want/ need, and connecting trails + creekways to destinations in our parks with the overall community should be a priority.
